The govt till date has not been able to implement the meter taxi system in any of the cities properly. Radio taxi can be a good option but only if this is operated by a company. It will be easier to keep a check on company's way of functioning rather than having a body of individual taxi drivers like taxi union. Wishing every bit of luck to the tourim Commissioner in her endeavor. Previous experiences of dealing with taxi unions/drivers have proved to be damp squib.
